Guys, who got into the top hitlists in a speed of a rocket. And yet they seem to be very relaxed, laid back and knowing, what exactly they are making. Their sucess was very powerful and still a little bit alternative. Poppy sound with she electronic spice was heard in Forum Karlin.
Another "first time" moment- in Forum Karlin. I had no idea at all, what to imagine, as I´ve never went, but was pretty pleased to hear about a smaller space, than is the O2 arena- a delicacy for agorafobia people (those, who suffer from a fear from wide big places). When we´ve arrived in front of the entrance, our mouths dropped down low as we saw the queue. A queue, where we had to fill into was about 15 minutes walking long. I was pretty delighted that so many people know this band and still appreciate the good quality alternative pop sound.
I have already knew the singer from the band-thanks to his acting talent, which appeared in the British series "Skins". Since then, I was literally watching The Years and Year´s baby steps coming forward, while crossing fingers for them. The members of the band are literally unstoppable. As Years and Years host came to show it off, also three Dutch guys, calling each other "Klyne". And those were playing pretty good too!
The concert was really great. From time to time we were even jumping pretty high. You might recognize, when you have fun-that you just stop using your phone completely (instead of taking pictures) and stop checking it-abrakadabra it´s magic! Amazing mixture of known and unknown hits were pleasing your ears, during the whole evening. You can´t doubt the good quality music, even though when you are surrounded by many kinds of hipsters (haha...no joke). Olly (the singer) is incredbile performer, makes you pay attention and paralyzes you with his movements, even the very last row in the back of the hall.
