It is not a simple BBQ. Everyone all around the world can prepare a grilled meat-it is "too easy". When it comes to grilling in the back of the garden in Australia, it has some strict rules, you might fancy to follow.
- Get drunk BEFORE the afternoon- best place to do it: Swan Valley wineyards. You do not even have to pretend understanding the "wine language"-they will give you free wine tasting-just please, buy one bottle at least...
- Go shopping to Woolworths ( drop the Tesco...)
- Do not forget to purchase 4 dollars into 1 pepper, which compensates a cheap local corn
- Take over the reduced cangaroo burgers- locals love feeding their dogs by these, but do not spoil this to the excited tourists buying cangaroo jerky for 24 dollars...
- Before you hit it off and start eating, do not hesitate to have a quick dip in the sea- it is never too far away...
- You want mayo....a lot of mayo.
- Canga bangerz (ehmm...sausages) nail the whole cheat-day
- Later in the evening, when grilling is on- in the garden get freaked out by every single suspicious sound in a bush.
- Have a passionate conversation about spiders and snakes afterwards...hashtag act local=act poison experienced as long as you might want to know that sucking the poison out of the bite is really in American films only
- Just....be grateful for the weather!
